Vijay Mallya may soon be deported to India from United Kingdom.
It may be noted that on May 14, the High Court of Justice, London, UK rejected the application of Indian fugitive and former liquor baron Vijay Mallya against his extradition to face trial in India.
The verdict also demonstrates the careful investigation by CBI, especially since Mallya had raised various issues with regard to the admissibility of evidence, the fairness of investigation itself and extraneous consideration, with a view to divert attention from his own acts.
The extradition of Vijay Mallya was sought to face trial in offences of criminal conspiracy, cheating and abuse of official position by public servants, in which Mallya faced claims of plot with public servants and dishonestly defrauding the IDBI bank to the scale of Rs 900 crores.
How soon will Vijay Mallya be brought back to India?
