CBSE Class- X Mathematics New Exam Format And Syllabus 2020-21

CBSE has revised the syllabus as well as examination format for Mathematics which would be implemented from the 2020-21 session.

As per the revised guidelines, now there would be 2 options for Maths Exam and the students would have to appear for 1 of the following 2 options:-

  1. Basic Maths Paper
  2. Standard Maths Paper.

Basic Maths:-
  • Easier than the current normal maths papers.
  • Students opting for just Basic Maths would not be allowed to Mathematics as a subject in class 11.
Standard Maths:-
  • Difficulty level of this paper would be same as the current class 10th maths exam.
  • Students opting for Standard Maths in class 10th would be allowed to take Mathematics as a subject in class 11.
NOTE:- Students who select Basic Maths in class 10 but are willing to take Mathematics again in class 11, would have to give a Compartment Exam for Standard Maths.
